Friday 12 October 2018

We had in week in which all parts of the curriculum were explored in exciting, imaginative ways, both at school and beyond. Highlights include:

  • Year 5's visit to the Science Museum; they strongly recommend a trip at half term!
  • Key Stage 1's participation in the Mini-Olympics at Newham Leisure Centre, where we came 3rd out of 11 schools, representing the west African country of Ghana.
  • Screen printing at school, which encouraged the children to explore new ways of using their artistic talents.
  • The election of our House Captains and Vice House Captains - congratulations to all the children who were elected to represent their houses in this way.
  • Our Reading, Writing and Maths Stars of the Week celebrations - well done to all these children who worked so hard.
  • A reminder re our Gardening Club for parents - see the Family Hub page for more information.

Finally, I am delighted to announce that 4 classes achieved 100% attendance this week - a fantastic achievement!  Congratulations to Regent's Park, Mile End, London Bridge and Hackney Wick - keep up the good work in the coming weeks!
