09 November - Portway Press - Newsletter

Friday 09 November 2018

The children were back to school and engaged with their learning as soon as they returned after the half term break on Monday.  As usual, it was an action-packed week.  Highlights from the newsletter include:

  • In a local schools Dodgeball competition, our year 3 and year 4 children came 3rd overall - congratulations!
  • Our year 4 children completed the next stage of their gardening project.
  • Thank you for supporting the children to make poppies for our Rememberance Day display.
  • Look out for more information about the Mayor's Challenge maths competition which has been launched, and which our year 4 and 5 children will be taking part in.

We hope that the children will support Action Aid by dressing up as who they wish to be in the future, and by bringing in £1.00 to support this charity.  Later this term we will be supporting the BBC's Children in Need campaign through various fund-raising efforts.

We look forward to the rest of the busy term we have planned at Portway.
